Prague — With a major hiring initiative underway worldwide, Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) announces that it has moved from its current Prague office in Smichov to the vibrant, up-and-coming Karlin district to accommodate its growing software development team. The company, which relocated to Karlin in mid-December, is leasing 1,350 m² of office space at Butterfly, an upscale and sustainable multi-use building.
The move to a larger office in Prague follows steady and rapid growth fueled by major contract awards including a recent contract extension from the U.S. Army for prototyping new cloud-enabled virtual world technologies, several major Australian defense contracts, and development of new augmented and virtual reality training applications for the U.S. Navy.
The company employs over 250 people in offices around the world with a presence in Europe, Asia and North America. BISim was acquired by The Riverside Company in 2012, and BISim acquired TerraSim, a leading developer of advanced software solutions for geospatial technologies, in 2013.
In addition to providing a more modern workspace for the BISim team in Prague, the company plans to establish a demonstration facility in a 90 m² space on the ground floor of the Butterfly building to showcase its growing technology portfolio.
