Join us for I/ITSEC 2024

Nov 01, 2024

For over twenty years, our community has collectively prepared those who protect us. Now, technology is evolving faster than ever, and we're evolving to support you in new ways. Your vision guides our innovation across products, systems, and solutions to make missions safer. Your work and insights are invaluable —leading the charge toward operational readiness and decision advantage. Let's build the future of simulation with you at the center.

This year at I/ITSEC, we’re doubling down on what matters: building products that turn your needs into operational readiness and decision advantage. VBS, Mantle, and Blue IG are platforms designed to make your most complex challenges achievable. Each product pushes the boundaries of ease of use and realism so you can save time, decrease risk, and focus on preparing for what’s next.

Joining us in the booth are our partners—Haptech, Kongsberg, Pitch, Rheinmetall, SEI, and VRAI—demonstrating how BISim products integrate seamlessly with the best technologies in the industry to craft powerful training solutions. Together, we’re breaking down barriers, supporting true interoperability across standards, domains, and borders, and raising the bar for what simulation can achieve to support Multi-Domain Operations. From cyber defense to seamless integration to runtime terrain correlation, this year’s lineup offers a glimpse into the future of military training, making missions safer and more effective worldwide.

New for this year is the addition of the Amphitheatre, a joint initiative with our friends at BAE Systems and Pitch, offering a unique space for insights into the evolving world of modeling and simulation. Here, thought leaders will discuss technology trends, future capabilities, and the most pressing needs in defense training—shaping a vision of readiness across all domains. Stay tuned as we release the full schedule in the weeks to come.

Come talk to us, and let’s innovate together!

Product Demonstrations

VBS4 - Whole-Earth Virtual Desktop Training & Simulation Host

What is VBS4?

VBS4 is our flagship virtual training and simulation platform, designed to immerse users in a whole-earth environment that’s as versatile as it is realistic. Whether for individual, collective, or joint-force training, VBS4 allows users to simulate missions with high fidelity, using real-world terrain and robust AI to create realistic, customizable scenarios. This fully scalable solution brings powerful simulation capabilities to the desktop, allowing trainees to navigate diverse environments and practice complex operations, from tactical engagements to large-scale logistical planning, all within a unified, adaptable framework.

What is demonstrated?

This year’s updates to VBS4 bring trainees closer to real-world operational readiness than ever before. From simulating complex battlefield scenarios—like nuclear and long-range rocket threats—to introducing high-fidelity vehicle training with models like the NZ LAV III, VBS4 now offers an unprecedented level of realism and immersion. New updates to AI and drone simulation make it easier to design scenarios that prepare users for today’s evolving combat environments, while a refreshed HUD system allows for more intuitive, mission-specific customizations. These features ensure that VBS4 remains a vital tool for training teams to handle both current and emerging mission challenges with confidence.

Mantle - Customized Terrain Pipeline for Simulation and Training

What is Mantle?

Mantle is BISim’s high-performance terrain platform, designed to deliver detailed, realistic landscapes for mission-ready training and simulation. With Mantle, users can generate and customize vast, accurate terrains to support everything from tactical maneuvers to strategic planning, all while integrating seamlessly into existing simulation environments. This scalable, cloud-enabled platform enables teams to rapidly produce terrain on demand, ensuring that training scenarios reflect the real-world environments trainees are likely to encounter in the field.

What is demonstrated?

Experience Mantle’s terrain generation and management tools in action with live demos that show how easy it is to create and customize realistic terrains. For the first time at IITSEC 2024, visitors will be able to witness the new ability from Mantle to generate correlated Unreal Engine optimized assets from VBS content allowing the creation of interoperable applications. Other demos will highlight VBS Geo terrain editing for on-the-fly adjustments, seamless drone mesh imports, and multi-format streaming and export options. Using top-tier mapping data and BISim’s extensive content library, Mantle enables users to produce ready-to-train terrains that can be further customized with user-specific data. Whether streaming to VBS4 or exporting to other platforms, Mantle offers flexible terrain solutions for diverse training systems and environments.
