BISim’s Training Team will offer several new resident courses to meet a wider range of skill levels and experience with VBS3 scripting. BISim will introduce Scripting 101, 102 and 103 catering to various experience levels, with course registration beginning in September.
“We have customers who are just learning basic scripting as well as individuals who seeking to learn more advanced skills like understanding how to develop custom configuration files,” said Richard Kissel, BISim’s senior instructor. “By breaking these courses into tiered levels, we can offer customers a more targeted and individualized learning experience.”
Scripting 101 is specifically aimed at scenario developers comfortable with the Offline Mission Editor (OME) to craft training scenarios, but want more fine-grained control or unique activities to occur within the scenario. Scripting 101 is also available in an online course version.
Scripting 102 provides students with the ability to enhance scenarios further through the use of external files, learning how to respond to user input and game events, how to automate activities, and an gain an understanding of optimizing script processing.
Scripting 103 is intended for scenario designers who want familiarity with creating and modifying VBS3 content using Designer-level scripting techniques and skills.
