ORLANDO, Fla. (USA) — Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim), a global developer of advanced military training and simulation software, is releasing new versions of VBS Radio and VBS Radio Pro for radio and voice communication simulations in VBS3 v18.3, which will be available on December 12.
Incorporating Pitch Talk from Pitch Technologies, VBS Radio simulates physical radios and additionally supports text chat, VoIP, intercom and natural voice communications. VBS Radio also simulates distance-based degradation and provides native DIS and HLA support. All existing VBS3 customers will receive this new VBS Radio for free as part of their standard VBS3 update and support package.
A VBS Radio Pro version based on Pitch Talk is also available for separate license, providing additional features including unlimited radio channels, radio frequencies including HF, VHF and UHF, text chat channels, and the ability to configure multiple VOIP networks. Custom radio user interface panels can be created for VBS Radio Pro as professional services.

In 2019, BISim will also be offering a VBS Radio Standalone that will interoperate with other versions of VBS Radio but run independently of a VBS3 installation.
