ORLANDO, Fla. (USA) ―JRM Technologies, a recognized industry leader in advanced sensor M&S products, will unveil a new sensor model integration for VBS Blue IG, Bohemia Interactive Simulations’ high-performance, CIGI-compliant, 3D whole-earth image generator, at I/ITSEC 2021.
I/ITSEC attendees can request a demonstration of the VBS Blue IG sensor integration at JRM Technologies’ booth #1180.
VBS Blue IG is in use on dozens of defense industry projects ranging from XR-based flight and air crew training to multichannel simulation for JTAC/FAC training and helicopter crew training. BISim’s technology, including VBS Blue IG, has been selected as the core simulation, visualization and terrain management software for the U.S. Army’s 2025 and beyond simulation capability.
JRM’s validated sensor models will provide high-fidelity target signatures and sensor visualization in VBS Blue IG. Signatures of BISim content are synthesized using JRM's SigSim®, with sensor effects from JRM’s SenSim®, and JRM’s GenesisMC® enables content developers to prepare customized material-system classified terrains and 3D models for VBS Blue IG EO, IR and Radar.
“JRM Technologies’ provide highly accurate and validated sensor simulations for military training,” said BISim Chief Commercial Officer Pete Morrison. “The new JRM plugin for VBS Blue IG will enhance and extend the existing VBS Blue sensor system as well as expand the sensor modes available to VBS users, enabling new training use cases.”
“We are excited to partner with BISim for sensors leveraging our advanced EO, IR and Radar products,” said Megan Sills, JRM Technologies’ Business Manager. “BISim is a recognized, highly-successful industry leader in game engine technology for defense training applications.”
About JRM Technologies, Inc.
JRM Technologies, Inc. (JRM) was founded in 1998 with a vision of bringing better predictive signatures and credible sensor science to real-time simulation. Since then, JRM’s comprehensive suite of real-time, physics-based EO, IR, Radar and sonar sensor products have brought high-fidelity capabilities to training systems, wargame constructive simulations, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) stimulators, advanced sensor system design studies, AI/machine-learning, autonomous navigation, and other sensor-related applications throughout the world. Many industry-leading IGs and game-engines have selected JRM for their EO, IR and Radar sensor simulation requirements, and have developed high-fidelity sensor plugins using JRM’s sensor SDKs, APIs, run-time libraries and material library. Our customers include all DoD branches (Army, Navy, Air Force), DoD Programs (JSF, STE, etc), many agencies (MDA, DARPA, etc), large and small defense and commercial industry (Boeing, Lockheed, BAE, Textron, etc), universities, research laboratories, and various allied-nation MoDs throughout the world.
BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE SIMULATIONS
Founded in 2001, Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) is a global software company at the forefront of simulation and training solutions for defense and civilian organizations. BISim utilizes the latest game-based technology and a 200-strong, in-house team of engineers to develop high-fidelity, cost-effective training and simulation software products and components for defense applications. BISim’s technology has recently been selected as the core simulation, visualization and terrain management software for US Army’s 2025 and beyond simulation capability.
Globally, many 100s of thousands of military personnel are trained every year using VBS software products. More than 60 NATO and NATO-friendly countries and over 300 integrators/prime contractors use VBS technology, many making significant funding commitments to extend VBS product capabilities alongside BISim’s internal investment program. Customers include the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, Australian Defence Force, Swedish Armed Forces, French MoD and UK MoD and most major integrators. VBS products have become, by far, the world’s most widely used COTS product range in the military-simulation sector, supporting hundreds of military use cases and with vastly greater military exploitation than any comparable products.
