Stuttgart, Germany — Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim), a global developer of advanced military training and simulation software, will demonstrate its newly released VBS Simulation SDK and VBS IG SDK software development kits (SDKs) at ITEC 2018 at stand D40. BISim will demo the new SDKs alongside several other new capabilities and training applications, including its recently released image generator, VBS Blue IG, a high-fidelity CV 9040 part task trainer and new VR/MR technologies. The International Forum for the Military Simulation, Training and Education Community (ITEC) is being held in Stuttgart, Germany at the Messe Stuttgart from May 15 to 17.
In May 2018, BISim released two new software development kits, VBS Simulation SDK and VBS IG SDK, to further aid customers in creating custom applications. VBS Simulation SDK allows developers to customize and extend VBS3 by providing an API and suite of tools, it also includes the VBS Control Editor, BISim’s advanced artificial intelligence behavior editing toolkit. VBS IG SDK is a set of APIs and tools for image generator developers to customize or further extend VBS Blue IG. The new SDKs are designed to both replace VBS Fusion and provide significant additional development and customization capability.
“Our new SDK software development toolkits have been designed from the ground up to provide our customers with incredible capability to extend or adapt VBS3 or VBS Blue IG for any training need,” said Cory Kumm, BISim’s senior vice president of corporate development. “The SDKs will save customers time, money and reduce the risk of developing tailored solutions to meet specific use cases. We have also rigorously designed our SDKs to help customers develop solutions that can be easily maintained or migrated forward with future versions of our technology.”
At ITEC, BISim will also demonstrate VBS Blue IG, its powerful whole earth image generator, as well as a high-fidelity infantry fighting vehicle part task trainer using VBS3. Attendees will be able to experience F/A-18 flight simulation on a Brunner VR-Motion 200 full motion platform in addition to bleeding edge VR/MR technologies BISim is adapting for military simulation and virtual training uses.
Bohemia Interactive Simulations has partnered with leading members in the simulation industry to present best-in-class software and hardware at ITEC. Booth partners include TerraSim, SimCentric Technologies, Brunner, AFV Simulation and Schenker.
