Our company is currently around 300 people and we are growing by about 30-50 each year. We make software products and around two-thirds of our staff are software developers, so that makes people absolutely central to our success. Compensation for us is not just cash and other financial benefits, it is also work enjoyment and professional improvement. Of course, we pay everyone as generously as we can but if, at the end of the year, our staff look back with bad memories of constant stress or chaos or can’t identify what they have learned in terms of technical or general professional skills, then Bohemia’s management has failed. We ask our staff to hold us to account on this and I believe we are succeeding in our promise. We have much lower staff turnover than most other companies and that is the best proof we are doing things right (most of the time, at least!).
